What is Face Yoga?

Face Yoga is a mix of exercises, massage and relaxation techniques for the face, neck and shoulders. Like any exercise, it works the muscles, eases tension and gets the circulation going. The more regularly you practise, the more you get from it.

It is not a treatment that is done to you. Carin teaches you the techniques so you can carry them on at home, in a few minutes a day.

Why we start with your neck and shoulders

Your face sits on top of your neck and shoulders. If they are tight or rounded forward, that tension pulls on your face and works against everything else. So every programme starts there, before Carin moves on to the face itself.

Is Face Yoga right for you?

Face Yoga may help if

  • your face feels tight or tense
  • you hold tension in your jaw
  • you look more tired than you feel
  • you are noticing changes from ageing, stress or menopause
  • you would like natural support rather than cosmetic treatments

Talk to Carin first if

  • you have had injectables, fillers or facial surgery recently
  • you are being treated for a jaw, skin or nerve condition

Carin will go through this with you at your free assessment. If you are unsure, check with your doctor or practitioner first.

How to get started

Four simple steps, and you only pay once you know it is right for you.

1

Book your free face assessment

A 20-minute chat on Google Meet, by phone or in person. Carin talks through what you would like help with and whether Face Yoga is the right fit. No cost and no obligation.

2

Fill in a short form and send three photos

The form covers your lifestyle and skincare habits, so Carin can tailor your sessions. Then send photos of your face from the front, left and right, showing your neck and ideally your shoulders.

3

Start with an Introduction session

$99 for 45 minutes, for new clients. Carin starts with your neck and shoulders, because tightness there affects how your lower face looks.

4

Carry on if it feels right

What you paid for your Introduction comes off Face Yoga Foundations, so your next two sessions are $300. No pressure either way.

I love how Carin structures her yoga sessions. I highly recommend investing in Carin’s Face Yoga classes where she combines the elements of breathing, exercise, acupressure points, massage and relaxation into a process that is easy to implement on a daily basis.

Questions

Do I need any experience?

No. Most people Carin works with have never tried Face Yoga. Every session is one-on-one, so everything goes at your pace.

Why start with the neck and shoulders?

Tightness there affects how your lower face looks. You would not build a house on shaky foundations, so Carin releases your neck and shoulders first and builds the face work on top.

What are the photos for?

Photos of your face from the front, left and right, including your neck, let Carin see where you are starting from before your first session. They also give you something to compare against later.

Will I repeat the same exercises each session?

No. Each session focuses on a new area of the face, chosen by you. You keep practising what you have learned at home, and the next session adds to it.

How soon will I notice a difference?

Many people feel looser and more relaxed straight after a session. Visible changes take regular practice over weeks, and every face is different, so results vary. Carin will be honest with you about what to expect when you first chat.

How much do I need to practise at home?

Ideally every day, even if it is only five minutes. If that is not realistic, every other day is fine.

I have had Botox or fillers. Can I still do Face Yoga?

Tell Carin at your free assessment. She will talk it through with you, and you may need to check timing with the practitioner who treated you.

Can I record my sessions?

Yes, on Foundations and Radiant You, so you can practise at home. The Introduction session is not recorded.

Can I move from Foundations to Radiant You?

Yes. Talk to Carin and what you have already paid is taken off.

What if I need to reschedule?

Please give Carin at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations are charged at 50%, unless it is an emergency. Full details are in the terms and conditions.

Where in Bryndwr are sessions held?
