Balance Wellbeing Collective offers Pilates classes, face yoga, yin yoga and natural skincare. We were previously known as Face Yoga New Zealand.

We may change this policy by uploading a revised policy onto the website. The change will apply from the date that we upload the revised policy.

We collect personal information about you from:
- you, when you use our website, book a class or session, buy a class pass or product, subscribe to our emails, fill in our contact form, or contact us by phone, email or social media
- third parties where you have authorised this, or where the information is publicly available
Where possible, we collect personal information directly from you.
What we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, this may include your name, email address, phone number, the classes or sessions you book, your payment records, and anything you choose to tell us in a message or form.
For face yoga sessions you may also choose to share information about your skin, your health or your wellbeing, including photographs or videos of your face. We treat that information as confidential and use it only to provide the service you have asked for.
We do not see or store your credit or debit card details. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and their own privacy terms apply.
How we use your personal information
We use your personal information to:
- provide classes, sessions, products and services to you
- take bookings and payments, and keep our records
- answer your questions, requests and complaints
- send you emails about our classes, workshops and services, where you have asked to receive them
- improve our classes, services and website
- protect and enforce our legal rights
- anything else authorised by you or by law
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in the email, or by contacting us.
Disclosing your personal information
We may share your personal information with:
- the teachers who run the classes you attend, so they know who is coming
- our service providers, including Stripe for payments, Setmore for bookings, Mailchimp for email, and our website host, some of which store information overseas
- anyone authorised by you
- a person or organisation where we are required or permitted to do so by law
We do not sell your personal information.
Protecting your personal information
We will take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe from loss, unauthorised activity, or other misuse.
Accessing and correcting your personal information
Subject to the Act, you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it.
To do this, contact us at faceyoganewzealand@gmail.com. We may need evidence of your identity before we release information. We will correct your information where we can, or attach a note recording the correction you asked for.
Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored by your browser. Some are needed for the website to work, and others help us understand how the site is being used.
We use Google Analytics to see how visitors find and use our website. This information is not used to identify you personally. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, though parts of the website may not work as well if you do.
Internet use
While we take reasonable steps to maintain secure internet connections, if you provide us with personal information over the internet, the provision of that information is at your own risk.
Our website may link to other websites, and may include content from services such as YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. Those sites have their own privacy policies and may collect information about you. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
